Does this sound like you?
You're a highly sensitive and/or neurodivergent person who is:
⭐️ Deeply (sometimes painfully) self-aware and thoughtful.
⭐️ Tired, tense and overwhelmed. Things often feel too much, too loud, too fast.
⭐️ Great at looking after others' needs, but struggle to make time for yourself. And even when you do? You can't quite relax into it.
⭐️ Prone to overthink, ruminate and spiral when you don't measure up to your own expectations. Your inner critic whispers in the background all day long.
In some ways, your sensitivity feels like a burden you can't overcome.
And you've tried ...
🌿 To be less sensitive. But it didn't work. And now your sensitivity is screaming to be nurtured.
🌿 To push your true needs aside and simply power through (surely if you ignore it long enough your sensitivity will just ... chill?!).
You realise that ignoring, squashing and shaming your sensitivity isn't the way
And now? You're ready:
🩷 To finally feel at home in your own skin.
🩷 To honour your needs, soften your inner critic and manage overwhelm with kindness.
🩷 To be more of your full, sensitive, exceptional self.
You just need a little guidance about where to begin.
Truth is, being a Highly Sensitive and/or Neurodivergent Person can be challenging. The world we live in isn't always kind to people who feel so deeply.
But squashing or denying your sensitivity doesn't work.
Instead?
It's time to befriend, respect and respect and nurture your sensitivity in SOMA:HOME. Through self-enquiry, movement and self-compassion you can access the superpowers of your sensitivity.
Inside SOMA:HOME you'll learn to:

Use the GRO SelfKind Framework (Ground, Release, Orient) to navigate overwhelm

Understand and respond to your nervous system with compassion and clarity

Identify what holds you back from true self-care (you know, the kind that really nurtures you deeply)

Align with what's most important to you in your relationship with yourself, and your sensitivity

Use movement to release physical tension and find calm in your body

Feel more grounded safety in your body more often

Let's shift things so that your inner world is an experience of coming home, not going into battle.
What you'll explore in SOMA:HOME
Week 1 is all about befriending your high sensitivity and becoming aware of the gifts and challenges that being highly sensitive poses. We explore how your sensitivity has shown up in your life and the way it impacts your self-concept and relationship with self-care. You'll also be introduced to the GRO framework - this is going to become the foundation of everything we explore together.

WEEK 1: BEING HIGHLY SENSITIVE & THE GRO FRAMEWORK
Week 2 is all about laying a foundation of moving your body as a way of self-listening and self-soothing.
We talk about why somatic/body based practices can be such a powerful tool for unwinding tension and learning to speak your body's language.

WEEK 2: YOUR BODY KNOWS
'Listen to your body' - is it the most frustrating advice you've ever heard? This week, we'll demystify this idea so you have a clearer method for understanding what your body is communicating with you.
We'll use the Window of Tolerance to map our nervous system states - a powerful way to gain insight into how you're feeling, through the wisdom of your body.

WEEK 3: WHAT IS YOUR BODY SAYING?

WEEK 4: PAUSE AND GROUND
In Week 4 you'll explore the practice of grounding in order to find a sense of safety in your body.
Safety is your nervous system's number one priority; a lack of perceived safety can sometimes be the reason you don't show up for self-care and compassion.

WEEK 5: WHAT MATTERS TO YOU?
In Week 5 you'll ask yourself a big question: what truly matters to you, now? This is an exploration of your values and, importantly, how they apply inward, toward yourself.
As a highly sensitive human, you might be great at treating others in line with your values. It's time to offer yourself that same kindness.
In Week 6 you'll explore the invisible walls that pop up as you attempt to orient toward your values. How can you release and dismantle the beliefs, 'shoulds' and expectations that no longer work for you?
We'll explore the Choice Point concept to help with this, too.

WEEK 6: THE INVISIBLE WALLS

WEEK 7: SELF-COMPASSION
In Week 7 you'll deepen your understanding of self-compassion. What it is, how to do it and why you'd want to bother. We will also explore how self-compassion can support you as you encounter your own perfectly imperfect human condition over time.

WEEK 8: INTEGRATION
In Week 8 you'll have space and time to integrate and ask lots of questions. This week is also an opportunity to explore additional tools based on the groups' experience and needs.

Soma home is a wonderful container for feeling supported, informed and affirmed as an HSP. Erica does an amazing job at enabling you to befriend your sensitivity and feel open and curious to learning more.
It is powerful to explore as a group, knowing we are not alone. I feel that as a result of the programme I am kinder to myself, have made more room for my sensitivity and beginning to feel more able to ask for what I need without feeling needy.
I would absolutely recommend this programme to other HSP's and particularly in this world that is moving at increased pace, volume and intensity.

Is this right for you?
SOMA:HOME could be right for you if:
⭐️ You identify as a Highly Sensitive Person, neurodivergent, or both
⭐️ You are tired, tense and find yourself frequently overwhelmed
⭐️ You have a hard time meeting yourself kindly - your inner critic tends to run the show and sets unrealistically high expectations
⭐️ You have tried (or continue to try) self-care practices but they don't seem to help as much as you'd like them to
⭐️ You want support from someone who gets it - and who will support you gently, while fostering self-agency
At the end of SOMA:HOME you will:
Have a simple framework (GRO) for navigating overwhelm
Have a newfound respect for your sensitivity and more tools to nurture and support it
Feel more confident in looking after yourself and your sensitivity - going from having a whole lot of 'shoulds' around self-care to actually living it
Feel more connected with your body and have a deeper understanding of how to listen to it and respond with kindness and curiosity over judgement and force
Understand what supports you to be your own ally, rather than feeling like you're in a me vs 'it' relationship with your body and mind
Have explored the power of somatic exercise and gentle yoga to deepen your relationship with yourself and your body, reducing tension and increasing ease in the process.

What others are saying
The first lesson was like an earthquake for me - when I realised how many of the values that guided my life were actually externally instilled rather than internally anchored (and actually important!) ones.
Using the work to really excavate my beliefs and decide a new (and kinder!) path forward has been phenomenal.
Kerry, SOMA:HOME participant
This program helped me learn about tools I can use to shift my nervous system and state. As well as how to better understand the communication between the mind and the body and how to find home (SOMA) in day to day life. This course would be great for anyone. Movement teachers would benefit from the science of it all in understanding clients. Anyone processing tension, past trauma, or feeling stuck would benefit from this course.
Dana, SOMA:HOME participant
This course was exactly what I needed. With great delivery, resources and tools the content learned will remain useful well after the completion of the course. I delivered a greater respect for my body and awareness of when to increase my self-care. I recommend this course to anyone who wishes to develop their relationship with themselves.
Cassie, SOMA:HOME participant
I would recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn skills and tools to help calm their nervous system. I feel like I have been able to build better awareness of my bodies needs and I'm able to respond in more useful ways. Erica is such a fantastic facilitator, she created such a compassionate environment for SOMA:HOME, it that was so lovely to be a part of it.
Kelsey, SOMA:HOME participant

'I have been doing the somatic exercises and sleeping better and can notice a difference in my stress levels. There are many courses on self love but they don't actually teach you how to apply the practical side of the information. Erica made it easy to understand and easy to apply.'
- Julie - SOMA:HOME participant -
'By connecting with my values, I feel like I have a better understanding of my 'why'. I've increased curiosity and am working on decreasing judgement of myself and decisions- I am definitely listening to my body more. This has come at the right time for me, wanting to increase my relationships with myself, my body and others.'

Question + Answers
When are the course calls?
Group calls are scheduled to commence at 7:30pm on Wednesdays throughout the program. Please note this is Australian Eastern Time Zone (Melbourne). Calls will run for 1.5 - 2 hours each.
What if I can't attend live?
It is highly recommended that you attend calls live - it's where we work through material together AND it gives you the opportunity to ask questions and learn from others. However, this isn't high school, so attendance is not compulsory. Replays will be available.
What do I need to participate?
Access to Zoom and a computer (or phone). No special equipment required. Some materials will be printable, but if you don't have access to a printer (or a desire to print stuff) you can use a pencil and paper (or digital device) instead.
How much time do I need to commit each week?
Our weekly live calls are scheduled for 90 minutes each (but may run up to 2 hours). In addition, there will be some pre-call content to watch. You can also make use of the somatic exercise class library. I would suggest 3 hours per week as a minimum commitment (including our live calls).
Hm, group stuff - how does this compare to 1-1 counselling?
1-1 counselling is ace. But it can add up quickly - weekly counselling at $120 per session is $960 over 8 weeks. Which is fine ... unless it isn't. Group work isn't better or worse than 1-1 work. It's simply different. In fact, a lot of the insight and growth you experience in SOMA:HOME will be BECAUSE of the group, not in spite of it. We are a social species. Shared humanity matters. The tools we're working with are the same tools I use with my 1-1 counselling clients, applied to a group.
What if I don't want to share with the group?
Then you don't have to! Your desires will be honoured. I'm here to hold space for what you need and want - not to push you to do things you don't want to do.
How much movement is involved? What if I have an injury or certain limitations?
Movement will be primarily somatic exercise and other somatic enquiry-based exercises. This modality is super gentle and slow. Modifications are always possible - if you want to talk about your specific situation before signing up, send me an email at erica@ericawebb.com.au
Is this suitable for everyone?
Nothing truly is, is it? So, no.
This isn't for you if:
-
you're looking for 1-1 support or to explore your specific history in a counselling relationship
-
you're unable to commit to weekly participation (that said, it's ok if you can't make every live call - life, right?!)
-
you're currently in a state of crisis and need tailored, high levels of support (please reach out at erica@ericawebb.com.au if this is you and we will find you the right support)
This could be for you if:
-
You're open, curious and ready to commit to a loving relationship with yourself and your body - you just don't know where to start.
-
You're comfortable with a group format and understand this is not 1-1 counselling support.
How long can I access course content for?
You will retain access to the course portal for 12 weeks. You will be able to download workbooks to refer to forever, but portal access will close after 12 weeks. I highly encourage you to stick with it live for the 8 week period as this will give you the best chance of getting through all the material.
PLEASE NOTE:
This course is not 1-1 counselling support. Calls will be recorded for access by group members unable to attend live. By participating, you agree to keep confidential anything shared in confidence by other group members.
ALSO NOTE:
Due to limitations in insurance coverage, I can't take on students in the United State of America or Canada. This is a big bummer and I'm looking for ways to resolve it. But, for now, my insurance company says no.
About your SOMA:HOME facilitator: Erica Webb
Hello! I'm Erica Webb - creator of SOMA:HOME.
I'm a Registered Counsellor, Somatic Exercise Coach, Yoga Teacher and a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). I'm also late diagnosed Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD).
I've had my fair share of tripping over and running into the tricky bits of my high sensitivity. Honestly? I've hated it at various times. I've dealt with anxiety, panic, trauma ... And, in the course of navigating those challenges, have developed a large personal and professional toolkit to support others to navigate their sensitivity, too.
I'm also a mum to two school-aged (also highly sensitive) boys, fur-mama to a best-friend cat and dog duo, a book and indoor plant lover, a rollerskating enthusiast, novice basketballer, skier and chocolate-chip-cookie-making (and eating) magician.
